The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) is the central body in the Government of India responsible for planning and overseeing environmental and forestry programs. Through the NATCOM Cell, the Ministry works with international partners like UNDP to monitor climate trends and fulfill global commitments to protect our planet's future.
Role
You will play a vital part in the Integrated Project Management Unit (IPMU), supporting the preparation of critical national reports for the UNFCCC. This role is focused on technical coordination and data management to help India effectively communicate its climate actions and transparency measures.
Responsibilities
- Support the National Project Director and technical staff in coordinating project activities and tracking progress.
- Collaborate with partner institutions to collect and organize data and information for project tasks.
- Manage project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and study outputs.
- Help prepare technical presentations and project reports.
- Assist in organizing stakeholder consultations and gathering feedback.
- Contribute to sharing knowledge and best practices related to climate change information.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Climate Change, or Development Studies; or a B.Tech in Environmental Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in climate change or related technical fields.
- Upper age limit of 32 years.
- Strong understanding of climate change issues, sustainability, and adaptation/mitigation measures.
- Excellent computer skills for data management and reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and coordinate multi-institutional activities.
